03/01/2018 15:01:00

The ACU Motocross Committee has announced a change to the Motocrosss Standing Regulations for the 2018 season and beyond. It is now compulsory for all riders and passengers to wear suitable chest and back protection during practice and race sessions at all ACU events.

The new rules mean that body protectors must meet an international standard of EN-1621-2 (back), and EN-1621-3 (chest). Protection will be checked prior to the starting each race. Riders not wearing suitable protection may be turned away from the start line. Back and chest protectors can either be incorporated within the suit or worn separately.

Riders looking to purchase a new chest and back protector that meets these international standards can explore Forcefield Body Armour’s range of moto gear at http://www.forcefieldbodyarmour.com/moto
