Congratulations to Forcefield supported Team Evolution athletes Darcie Mead and Max Baggio who are just back from the Delancey British Alpine Championships in Meribel, France where they defended their National Titles as well as gaining some new ones.

During the female competitions Darcie Mead claimed the Ladies National Senior Titles in Super-G and Downhill, despite being still being in her first year as a Junior racer. In adding her name to the trophies recently held by British Olympic athlete Chemmy Alcott, Darcie has become part of a select group of British female speed skiers to claim the Titles.

Within a winning streak that totalled 13 National Senior & Junior Titles across 8 days, Darcie also won the Under 18 Slalom and Under 18 Giant Slalom races, which resulted her being crowned with both the Overall British Female Titles in the Delancey British Alpine and Junior Championships.

18 year old Max Baggio also retained several of his National Junior Titles to cap a successful National Championships.
The British Junior Team skier, who also trains in Sankt Johann with the Team Evolution training programme, won the British Under 18 Super-G and Downhill titles, finishing ahead of numerous Senior athletes in a field containing several members of the French World Cup Team. For Max, retaining the National Junior Downhill Title was the culmination of a hard season.

Finishing off a highly successful National Championships, Baggio also won the Under 18 Giant Slalom Title, finishing ahead of close friend and British Team mate Billy Major. In winning the Giant Slalom Title Baggio scored personal best FIS point results, providing him with a much improved World Ranking for next season.
