7 Podiums for Forcefield Riders

The British Superbike Championship took to the fastest track in the UK at Thruxton Circuit this weekend and the Forcefield supported riders took seven fantastic podiums including Jake Dixon's two wins in the British Supersport Cup race.

The weekend was action packed and once again produced some of the closest racing that we see there each season, although incident packed the Forcefield riders with the exception of the two Superbike riders Karl Harris and Keith Farmer escaped without crashing.

Current National Superstock 1000 Champion Keith Farmer who has been looking strong so far this season had his first off of the year in the first MCE British Superbike race whilst in a battle for a podium position. The likable Irishman was unfortunate to crash out at 110mph hitting the Armco barrier hard, thankfully he jumped up quickly and walked away.

Keith Farmer - "I would just like to say a big thank you to Forcefield for once again protecting me with their body armour as I had my first tip off my Superbike in the first race at Thruxton but thankfully I was able to get up and walk away unscathed again. Mega stuff!"

The other crash happened during the second race when Karl Harris had caught and ripped off his brake-line which saw him have no brakes into one of the fastest parts of the circuit. Crashing out at 170mph Karl took a hard impact and thanks to his Forcefield Body Armour and the fantastic Recticel safety barriers he was able to walk away.

Karl Harris - "I'd somehow got my brake-line caught on Peter Hickmans' foot-peg and as I went into the next turn I knew I had no brakes, I tried to scrub off some speed before hitting the deck hard. I took some skin off my shoulder but the Forcefield Body Armour did an awesome job at such high speed. I'd also like to thank Stuart Higgs for the Recticel barrier as without that I think Tommy (Bridewell) and I could have been much worse off. I didn't realise I'd taken Tommy with me and he had no idea that I was coming in at that speed, I know he's hurt his leg and I wish him a speedy recovery."
