Summer finally arrived in the UK bringing hot weather conditions to the Snetterton 300 circuit for round five of the MCE British Superbike Championship.
A number of the Forcefield riders were caught out by the greasy track conditions and had to give their kit a thorough test. Despite this, the Forcefield supported riders still managed to take five podium positions over the weekend with a fantastic second from Adam Jenkinson in the National Superstock 1000 class and another consistent second from Luke Hedger in the National Superstock 600 Championship.
Current leader of the British Supersport Cup Championship Jake Dixon took a solid win in the Saturday race but had a big crash on the Sunday, walking away slightly battered and bruised but thankfully with no major injuries.
Jake Dixon - "I've had a couple of crashes now this season but the one in the race on Sunday at Snetterton was big and knocked the wind out of me. Thankfully due to Forcefield I had no major injuries and the back protector took the impact well so a big thanks to them. I feel like I've been hit by a train but I should be good for Brands in a few weeks' time."
His fellow rival in the British Supersport Cup Bjorn Estment who took a great win in the Cup race at Knockhill had two DNF's this weekend.
Bjorn Estment - "After a really tough weekend at Snetterton I'm pleased to say the outstanding Forcefield body armour served its purpose by keeping me protected and able to walk away from a couple of nasty crashes. Also the base layers did a superb job in keeping 'climate control' balanced."
In the main British Supersport Championship Ben Wilson had another fantastic weekend following on from his double win at Knockhill he gained a third and second respectively in the two races and is now in third in the Championship standings.
Ben Wilson - "Luckily I didn't have to test out the Forcefield body armour this weekend but the base layers were brilliant in such tough and extremely hot conditions, they kept me as cool as possible in what were two very difficult races."
Jimmy Storrar was looking all set for a podium in the Superstock 1000 race after being quick all weekend and qualifying on the front row for the race. With the heat rising and grip on the track decreasing he was unfortunate to crash out on lap 12 of the 14 lap race.
Jimmy Storrar - "It had been a good weekend up until that point and I felt comfortable on the bike again but it just wasn't to be. I crashed out fairly heavily but the Forcefield body armour kept me wll protected, the undersuits did a great job all weekend and stopped my body from getting too hot."
