The penultimate round of the British Superbike series took place at the Silverstone circuit where typical British Autumn weather conditions saw the weekend start with rain which turned to glorious sunshine for the Sunday race day.
With the changeable conditions predicted a number of riders opted not to take part in the first practice sessions on Friday though with the weather improving so did the riders track time which led to another exciting weekend’s racing.

The Forcefield supported riders all performed well in the competitive racing and most were unlucky to miss out on podium positions with the only podium of the weekend coming from youngster Luke Hedger who rode a stunning race in the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship and took a fantastic win and also the Championship lead.
It wasn't without drama as Luke suffered a mechanical problem in the first lap of the race, the race was red flagged and his Gearlink Kawasaki team worked beyond their limits to fix his bike and allowed him to go on and win the race.
Luke Hedger - "This weekend was great for me, in the space of an hour I thought my hopes of becoming Champion had vanished yet an hour and a half later I was winning the race. It was just mega, as always the Forcefield kit was brilliant the good thing about it, is that you forget you are wearing it so it's easy to just get out there and race."
James Egan - "We had both wet and dry sessions at Silverstone and my Forcefield base layers worked perfectly in both conditions. I had a great weekend and secured my second best result of the season."
Josh Wainwright - "It was a great weekend for me at Silverstone, I secured my first pole position in the Superstock 1000 class I had a great race and ended up fourth overall. My Forcefield kit was mega as always, thankfully I didn't have to test it out but comfortable as ever."
